I make several different kinds of handcrafted jewelry arranged in four sections 

bead compositions

All gianani earrings and bracelets are made with beads. In addition to gemstones, my jewelry features ceramic and wood beads, Swarovski crystals and pearls, cultured freshwater pearls, shells, horn, bone, sterling silver, fine silver, black silver, brass, and copper beads. I also use artbeads and fair trade beads.

All my earring designs and most of my bracelet designs are one-of-a-kind. No two pairs of earrings are alike as I do not repeat a design. I guarantee a genuinely one-of-a-kind experience. I offer the same guarantee for my bracelets but at times a small number of bracelets are also available and appropriately marked as “limited edition,” which are, therefore, 'made to order'.

Deriving wood from planks and fallen branches we make beautiful, unusual hand painted wood jewelry components in gianani studio. 

All jewelry made with these hand painted wood beads and pendants are one-of-a-kind. It would be either impossible or extremely difficult to make multiple versions of the same design.

While I thoroughly enjoy offering my jewelry according to themes and collections, my inspiration can run ahead of categories. My newer earring and bracelet designs defy any specific theme and as I follow wherever my creative spark takes me I made many pieces that did not want to be part of a collection.  The new design section provides a home for them.

This section is a corner for 

published designs: those designs that appeared in a publication -- naturally these pieces may not be one-of-a-kind as anyone can freely copy the design to make a similar piece for themselves  

and 

mala mood creations: sometimes I am seized by a desire to make bead necklaces, and as necklaces are usually the only jewelry I wear, I make them for myself and for friends. Now I wish to share these designs with you. Here in etc. you will find random appearances of neckware -- 'mala' and 'hara' as we say in india -- when the mood and inspiration strikes me. The necklaces are not always one-of-a-kind -- I may make one for myself!

original art resin-pewter pendants: these are little works of original art and calligraphy (acrylic on paper) encased in a pewter bezel and protected with resin -- certainly one of a kind!

Every gianani item is designed with careful attention to detail. From the quality of the wire, earwires, clasps, and rings to the subtle shades and textures of each bead, a lot of thought goes into forming every single design and then with equal care the design is hand crafted into a lovely piece of artisanal jewelry.

I prioritize the design over conventional categorization of 'value'. If the design demands brass, I use brass; if it demands fine silver, I then use fine silver. I dislike discriminatory terms such as “precious”, “semi-precious” or “base”. All materials are “precious” to me if they serve the design and offer aesthetic value to the jewelry. I am immensely drawn to the imperfections and change manifested in nature and my approach to designing jewelry reflects that. I love using, whenever I can, cracked, chipped materials, pebbles and rough cut stones. I love combining sparkling crystals with common granite and riverstones.

And, I love handmade beads, which I use extensively. Artbeads (those made by other artists and my own) and artisan crafted fair trade beads occur frequently in my designs.

Above all I have fun, and experience an immense sense of joy in creating these little pieces of wearable art.
