The focal wood bead is painted in a deep eggplant purple with a subtle, abstract motif. Two rows of lovely burgundy dyed cultured fresh water pearls (strung with copper wire) led by a cluster of wood and pewter rondelles fan out from one side of the hand painted rectangle bead. On the other side a cluster of Golem Studio khaki tone ceramic barrel, a pewter rondelles, and a maroon Swarovski crystal pearl attach the painted wood to the clasp. Brass jumprings hold everything together. The clasp is a toggle made of a beautiful brass ring and a brass wire strung with Japanese seed beads and two Swarovski crystal pearls.

Kaveri            Pw-br-002

A hand painted wood rectangle in yellow ochre speckled with gold and  umber brown forms the focal point of this bracelet. Brass jumprings connect the brass chain and the row of beads (Greek ceramic, wood rondelles, brass, Japanese seeds) to the toggle clasp, which is made with a brass ring and a brass wire beaded with tiger-eye and yellow jasper stones. Near the toggle lies a Golem Studio khaki tone ceramic barrel bead.

Cultured fresh water pearls dyed pistachio green, brass beads, green Swarovski crystal pearls capped in brass, faceted serpentine stones, pewter rondelles are all linked to three wood rectangles hand painted in varying shades of green. Sterling silver wire and jumprings, and, brass wire and jumprings keep everything together. The clasp is a silver tone toggle.

Loa      Pw-br-005

Two hand painted wood rectangles (one plain and the other with an abstract motif) are accompanied by other hand made beads -- two striking Hill Tribe silver beads from Thailand and one beautiful ceramic artbead in aqua from Chinook Jewelry Designs. One coin shaped ebony wood bead adds contrast.  Silver plated jumprings and asymmetrical flat sterling silver Bali rings connect the central hand painted wood bead to the other beads. The beads are wrapped with one another with niobium wire. The clasp is a sterling silver hook from Bali connected to the nearest bead (Thai silver) with a Bali sterling silver kazak ring.

Silence      Pw-br-006

This is one of my favorite motifs to paint -- a forest in a moonlit night, breathing silence, emanating peace. To me the image stands for the quiet, silent core within each of us where we sometimes return to reconnect with ourselves. The hand painted wood square is embellished with brass rings, yellow jasper and tiger jasper saucer beads (accented with brass rondelles), one new-picture jasper round bead, and one pewter spacer. These beads are strung on brass wire. Brass charms in shapes of butterflies and leaves surround the wood bead. Brass jumprings and chain lead up to a square brass toggle clasp.
